EMC pre-compliance testing – the best way to find and fix issues.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Pre-Compliance Testing
We perform EMC pre-compliance testing to help our customers identify potential EMC issues. We do this in a cost effective way by focusing on risk areas and quickly fixing issues that we find during testing. It takes less time and costs less than a traditional compliance test phase. We help our customers save time and money with our process. Here are some key facts about our pre-compliance process:
1. We discover product EMC issues quickly
2. We find the root cause by understanding the physics and fix issues within the same test phase
3. We perform over-testing to ensure sufficient design margin and confirm improvements
4. Our customers move forward confidently into their compliance test phase
By focusing on the risk areas and performing testing in a shorter time-frame we often save at least one product design iteration. As issues are identified we have a full line-up of EMC troubleshooting tools to locate the source of the failure. In addition to our tools we have a large number of component kits in house to prototype solutions and retest.

EMC Pre-compliance Testing Success Stories
We had a customer request pre-compliance testing and the results showed radiated emissions failures. We performed a design review of the schematics and PCB layout where we identified the source of the failures. The customer implemented our design recommendations and updated the product design. They built and tested the improved product and the results passed with an acceptable margin while being able to remove optional filtering components and save cost. The customer was pleased with the EMC improvements and the short timeline it was accomplished within.
