Community Support

We value and support the community.  Here are some of the groups we support:

Kent ISD (Intermediate School District)
Kent ISD’s Career & College Readiness program has a mission to provide children with experiences that prepare them for their futures. Engagement opportunities between school aged children and local companies are coordinated to offer job shadowing, classroom presentations and interviewing folks in careers of interest.

Kent County Parks & Recreation
The Kent County area has many parks and recreational areas for the community to enjoy. We help the county by volunteering to clean up park areas, install new facilities and other miscellaneous projects. We can all help keep our environment clean by dedicating some time to help and being good stewards.

Ottawa Conservation District
The OCD’s mission is to be a local resource for natural resource management, helping people conserve, maintain and improve natural resources and the environment for future generations in Ottawa County, Michigan. The OCD is based in Grand Haven, Michigan.

Thornapple Kellogg Schools
Thornapple Kellogg Schools are located largely in northwestern Barry County and southern Kent County in Michigan. They are home to the Thornapple River, acres of state land, and numerous inland lakes. The community offers a quiet, rural place with convenient access to the Greater Grand Rapids Metropolitan area. We enjoy presenting STEM related topics to school aged children to help them see more of the sciences and consider more career options in their future.

City on a Hill
City on a Hill is an organization that provides an affordable, inviting and collaborative space for ministries and nonprofits.  It is based in Zeeland, Michigan and we support some of the activities of the ministries that operate in the facility.

Exodus Place
The Exodus Place is a non-profit organization focused on the rapid re-housing, rehabilitation and development of former prisoners, homeless men, addicts and anyone facing hardship.

IEEE Region 4 Science Kits for Public Libraries
The Region 4 of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) promotes the development and access of “Science Kits for Public Libraries” (SKPL) to make STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) learning available to children regardless of race, gender, or income.  The SKPL project raises money to provide grants to public libraries to purchase science kit collections that can be borrowed by the community just like a book.

Dégagé Ministries
This Grand Rapids, MI based ministry offers help and hope to homeless and disadvantaged individuals in our community.

Blue Star Mothers of Michigan
We are mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster mothers and female legal guardians who have children serving in the military, guard or reserves, or children who are veterans. We support each other and our children while promoting patriotism. Our organization focuses on our mission every single day.

Community Action House of Holland
The mission at CAH is to end poverty in our community and help families prosper. We volunteer time to help in the food pantry and collect food donations for folks in need of nutrition in our local community.

Outdoor Discovery Center (ODC) Network
The ODC Network is a non-profit organization advancing Outdoor Education and Conservation in West Michigan.
